How many students does each group need?
Drop in your 2027 Closing the Gaps Planning Report. The tool turns every target into a number of students for each group TEA will evaluate, then lets you test a goal and see the Closing the Gaps score it would earn.
Load your planning report
Use the 2027 Closing the Gaps Planning Report PDF from TEAL. Every target, last year’s results and the groups TEA will evaluate come straight from it.

Your 2027 counts
These start at last year’s numbers from the report. Change any count you expect to be different in 2027 — a bigger 5th grade, a smaller senior class — and every result below updates.
What each group needs
For every indicator TEA will score, the number of students each group needs to earn 1, 2, 3 or 4 points. The 3-point column is the 2027 interim target. The badge under last year shows what that result would earn against the 2027 targets.
What If: test a goal
For each group, type the number you think it can reach in 2027 — or click 1, 2, 3 or 4 points to fill in the fewest students that level takes. The highlighted button always shows what the number in the box earns, and the scoreboard adds it all up. Grey buttons aren’t available for that group.
The fill buttons keep any group that already reached that level last year, and raise a group when All Students’ goal depends on it.

Full accountability projection
Your All Students goals from Step 4 carry into Domain 1 and Domain 2A. Domain 2B follows from Domain 1 and your economically disadvantaged percentage, and Domain 3 is the scoreboard above. This is a projection from the goals you set — not a prediction.
